  • Four major transport projects will be completed in the second quarter of 2019

    According to the plan, in the second quarter of 2019, the Ministry of Transport will complete 4 projects, start 3 other projects.

    At the April 2019 working briefing meeting of the Ministry of Transport held this afternoon (May 3), Director of the Department of Construction Management and Traffic Quality of Works Le Kim Thanh said, as planned, in the second quarter. / 2019, there are 3 projects registered to start construction and 4 other projects to be completed.

    Specifically, 3 projects are expected to start construction including: widening the bridges on NH1 through Tien Giang; some local bridges and roads (LRAMP); to expand the route connecting NH1 to Da Nang – Quang Ngai expressway and the southern coastal road (NH40).

    According to Mr. Thanh, 4 traffic works are expected to be completed, including: Ho Chi Minh road, Chu Se bypass, Gia Lai (output reached 97%, has been basically completed, currently construction of traffic safety system); urban railway Cat Linh – Ha Dong (basically completing main items to ensure operating passengers); Vam Cong bridge (has completed the repair and test of global load, is currently implementing state acceptance procedures). Finally, the project to upgrade some sections on NH26, which pass Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, has only achieved 40% output.

    “Although the remaining output is very large, but focusing mainly on the pavement structure, the project is expected to be completed on schedule”, Mr. Thanh said and said: “In the immediate future, in May, the Ministry Transportation will focus on completing and clearing the Vam Cong bridge, officially completing the entire project connecting the Mekong Delta region connecting Ho Chi Minh City and the Southwest region “.
