    Mrs. Kim Jae Hwa said that the Ministry of Transport is a very important partner of EDCF. EDCF spends 60% of its capital for the development of the transportation sector. Currently, the Ministry of Transport is coordinating with EDCF to prepare 5 projects added by the National Assembly of Vietnam to the medium-term public investment portfolio for the 2016-2020 period with a total loan of $ 428.86 million, including: Project component 1A belongs to Tan Van – Nhon Trach road project, phase 1, Ring 3 – City. HCM City; Improving weak bridges and connecting bridges on national highways (including two phases 1 and 2); To renovate the railway in Khe Net pass area; To renovate the Hoa Duyet – Thanh Luyen space for the Thong Nhat railway line.

    “We hope that the Ministry of Transport will work closely with relevant ministries and agencies to quickly reach the signing of loan agreements, from which these projects can be implemented this year,” she said. Kim Jae Hwa expressed.

    Ms. Kim Jae Hwa also said that EDCF has now allowed Vietnamese businesses to participate in projects funded by EDCF; At the same time, it will continue to loosen loan policies and regulations on loans. This is an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the two sides in the transport sector. MOT should make a list of programs and projects to which the EDCF can support, clearly stating the priority order.

    “EDCF will always act as an organization providing ODA of the Korean Government for projects that the Ministry of Transport is interested in and needs to support,” said Ms. Kim Jae Hwa.

    Regarding projects currently having problems with loan procedures, the Minister affirmed that the Ministry of Transport will actively work with relevant agencies, accelerate the process of ensuring that loan agreements can be signed. between the two Governments.
